The Company runs top in China's construction industry regarding to the number of Special Prizes receiving, while taking the lead among all Chinese enterprises in the aspect of the total number of awards.After years of development, CREC has accumulated rich experience in the construction of large bridges, deep-water bridges, tunnels with long distance and large diameter, electrified railways, steel bridge structure, car testing tracks as well as the R&D and manufacture of TBM and high-speed railway turnouts, and gradually gained its own advantages in management and technology.
CREC has designed and built nearly 10,000 bridges worldwide, including Donghai Bridge, the 3rd Macau-Taipa Bridge, Hangzhou Bay Sea-crossing Bridge, Wuhan Tianxingzhou Yangtze River Bridge whose construction techniques have reached the world leading level in many aspects. CREC has rich technical experience in the construction of bridges with large-span, light-weight, high-strength and high-rise pier, and is striving to achieve more in the construction of large-scale, holistic and long bridges while accelerating the construction speed.
As for the construction technique of tunnels and city subways, CREC basically realized informationized construction which has reached national leading level, and some of which has touched even the world leading level in terms of the construction of tunnels and underground engineering works with special geological condition featuring fracture and fault geology, weak surrounding rock, expansive surrounding rock, gas-bearing stratum, water gushing, karst cave, loess and so on.
In terms of railway electrification technology, CREC represents the highest level in China. The high-speed railways built by CREC, such as Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway, Beijing-Guangzhou High-speed Railway and so on, has reached world-class in terms of running speed and traffic density.
By the end of 2014, CREC has won 101 National Prizes for Progress in Science and Technology, including 4 grand prizes and 14 first prizes; as well as 2,134 Provincial and Ministerial Grade Prizes for Progress in Science and Technology, which fully demonstrates the scientific and technology innovation capability and technical strength of CREC.
