Source: Date:2024年11月22日

On November 5, the first continuous beam closure of the Sichuan section of the Chengdu-Chongqing Central Line High-Speed Railway was completed on the Shahe Grand Bridge. The project, undertaken by China Railway No.8 Engineering Group, marks a significant milestone in the railway’s construction.

Located in Chengdu’s Jinniu District, the Shahe Grand Bridge spans approximately 1.47 kilometers and features a cast-in-place continuous beam structure (62+2×112+62 meters) crossing the Dashuhe River, an urban arterial road, Metro Line 3, and a new railway depot. The bridge’s main span was constructed using the cantilever casting method, with 14 standard segments requiring over 9,000 cubic meters of concrete. The recently completed closure between piers 23 and 24 successfully crosses Metro Line 3 and the railway depot area.
